Jeffrey Swanson, Chief Administrative Officer of Ädelbrook, Receives 2022 Hartford Business Journal 40 Under Forty Award
Each year the Hartford Business Journal honors 40 professionals under the age of forty who have made a meaningful impact in the Greater Hartford area through their positions in leadership. Recipients of the 40 Under Forty award are business leaders who strive for professional success while maintaining a connection to community. This year Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services’ own Chief Administrative Officer, Jeffrey Swanson, has been named as a recipient.
Jeffrey has been the Chief Administrative Officer of Ädelbrook since 2018. In his role as the Chief Administrative Officer, Jeff oversees Ädelbrook’s information technology, maintenance, property management, food services, fleet and transportation programs, risk management, and serves as the agency safety officer. Serving as the agency’s Safety Coordinator during the COVID pandemic meant that Jeff was often the first contact when a child or staff member tested positive or was a close contact. On top of his other regular full-time tasks, he became a skilled contact tracer for our programs which run 24/7/365. The children and young adults we support residentially generally don’t have the ability to go home. Limiting COVID exposures and keeping our staff and those we serve safe became a 24/7 job at the height of the COVID pandemic. Jeff not only managed our agency in this capacity, but he also stepped up to serve as the leader of a committee of all long-term care programs throughout the town of Cromwell. Jeff made sure that we had access to vital PPE, test kits, and cleaning supplies. He was present in our programs, providing support to staff, students, children, individuals, and families. When supply chain issues jeopardized the availability of food items, he worked with our food services department to assure that our individuals had what they needed. For his work in general, but especially related to his role in keeping the community safe, he is well-deserving of being recognized by the Hartford Business Journal as one of the 40 Under 40 for 2022.
Alyssa Goduti, President and CEO of Ädelbrook Behavioral and Development Services, said “Jeff consistently places those we serve at the forefront of decision making and is dedicated to helping children and families access the services they need to live lives of hope, happiness, and achievement. He has helped Ädelbrook grow to be one of the premier agencies serving children and young adults with Autism and has been a vital part of the agency’s dramatic expansion.”
