Monica Carras, Ädelbrook’s Director of Behavioral Services and Training, Named a 2022 Healthcare Hero by the Hartford Business Journal

Each year, the Hartford Business Journal identifies outstanding leaders in the healthcare industry who, through their work, exemplify what it means to be a hero. Monica Carras, MS, BCBA, LBA of Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services has been named one of this year’s Hartford Business Journal Healthcare Heroes Award recipients.

 

Monica Carras, Director of Behavioral Services and Training, is a dedicated leader in the field of behavioral analysis and an expert in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Monica’s compassion, commitment, and expertise, has helped hundreds of individuals find futures of achievement, happiness, dignity, and hope. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Northeastern University, is a Licensed Behavior Analyst, and has more than 10 years of experience as a leader in the field. In her time at Ädelbrook, Monica has provided ongoing supervision in the field of behavioral analysis, impacting the reduction of symptomology associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, across both residential and educational settings. She helps build and direct person-centered and trauma-informed clinical and behavioral approaches which encourage positive behaviors and provide individuals with opportunities for growth and skills development. She also helps support emerging leaders and brings knowledge and understanding of ASD to the community through her role as the Director of the Ädelbrook Training Academy.
