Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services Cromwell Academy has been selected as a 2023 NASET School of Excellence. Since 2008, the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) has bestowed this honor to qualified private special education schools that meet a certain criterion and have validated extraordinary dedication and commitment to the students served. According to NASSET, schools are awarded this distinction when they “meet rigorous professional criteria and have demonstrated truly exceptional dedication, commitment and achievement in the field of special education.” Selection as a NASET School of Excellence is the highest level of recognition a special education school can achieve through the NASET Professional Organization, and is the result of an intensive screening process of various private special education schools in the United States. Only a few select, qualified, approved private special education facilities in Connecticut have received this distinction, and Ädelbrook is one of them.
