Community Resource Days

Each week, students take part in a Community Resource Day, immersing themselves in real-world experiences that build independence and confidence. Through volunteering and exploring public spaces like libraries, parks, and local events, they learn how to navigate their communities with ease. Additionally, students develop vital financial skills by practicing budgeting, empowering them to manage their resources responsibly and confidently.

Vocational Education

Students engage in hands-on vocational education through diverse opportunities, including on-site roles like culinary, clerical, packaging, and retail storefront work. As part of our hands-on exploratory curriculum, Ädelbrook proudly operates two student-run vocational retail storefronts—The Ädelbrook Bark-ery and Ädelbooks & More—providing valuable real-world business experience. They also gain real-world experience with offsite community jobs, while receiving dedicated support with applications and interviews to prepare them for successful entry into the workforce.

Extended School Year (ESY)

The Extended School Year (ESY) is a 7-week program that combines structured learning with opportunities to connect with their local communities through engaging, sensory-friendly activities designed to promote learning, personal growth, and the development of essential life skills.
