Group Home for Adults
Supporting Greater Independence within Our Communities
Ädelbrook’s Continuous Residential Supports (CRS) and Community Living Arrangements (CLA) offer community-based residences across Connecticut for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, providing staffing support to foster independence and growth. Our group homes are selected for their proximity to family, day programs, schools, and other community activities.
Life in Our Homes
Small, Supportive Home Settings: Each CRS/CLA home supports three to four individuals, designed to maximize personal growth and independence while gradually reducing the need for staffing supports.
Community Engagement: The CRS/CLA program emphasizes the importance of community involvement for our residents. We offer inclusive, engaging activities that unite individuals across all Ädelbrook programs, as well as promote interactions with members of the community. Community engagement activities include:
- Agency-wide dances and social events
- Holiday celebrations
- Outings to local fairs and festivals
- Visits to museums and cultural institutions
- Participation in sports and arts programs
By participating in these events, individuals develop lasting relationships with their peers and gain valuable connections to their communities.
