Students are accepted as they are, and staff are skilled at recognizing and maximizing each student’s potential.
“When we were looking at different programs, we immediately knew that Ädelbrook was the right place for our son. Walking in, it was clear that the program was thoughtfully designed and organized around the students’ needs and abilities. Students are accepted as they are, and staff are skilled at recognizing and maximizing each student’s potential. None of the other programs had the warmth, enthusiasm, and feeling of home that we experienced at our first visit.”
– Ädelbrook Parent
All the staff I encountered were professional, friendly, and student-centered.
"In my capacity as a surrogate parent, I visited Ädelbrook's Bloomfield school site. My student had just started in August, having transferred from another out-of-district placement. I wanted to see how he was adjusting to his new school. Although I know it's a new site for Ädelbrook, it feels more like it's been operating for a while. All the staff I encountered were professional, friendly, and student-centered. The students in the classroom all seemed comfortable and happy to be there. It was a diverse group of students, each with their own needs and strengths. The academic expectations were organized to provide individual work times with breaks. I observed a movement break in the gym where students were able to use some scooters. I checked with my student and his foster parent, and was pleased to hear that he enjoys going to school each day. From all indications, he seems to be off to a great start this year!"

When asked where to send a student, my number one response is always Ädelbrook.
"Our school district has students placed at both your Cromwell and Middletown campuses and as the Special Education Administrator in our district, I know that any student enrolled in Adelbrook schools is going to receive not only a good education, but also the social, emotional, and community supports that they need in order to be the best versions of themselves upon graduation.
When asked where to send a student, my number one response is always Ädelbrook. I say with earnest that they are the best schools in the state. I do not have to worry that a student with unusual needs will not have them met. I do not have concerns about the level of care and support that students will receive. I rest assured that together, Adelbrook and our district are providing the best education that we can for each and every student placed there."
